Youth Lessons

Childhood is a great time to learn any skill! A child's brain is still developing, which makes new skills and information easier to retain and apply. But music, in particular, can benefit a child in many additional ways: studies have shown that children who learn music have better emotional intelligence, math comprehension, language skills, and literacy rates! Music is a wonderful tool to help your child develop!

Your child's voice lessons will be fun and engaging, in order to develop a lifelong love for music and learning! During lessons, your student will be introduced to healthy singing habits, technique, and theory through engaging, age-appropriate exercises designed to help your singer to develop comfort, confidence, and skills!

Vocal techniques and exercises are individually chosen and designed with your child in mind, making lessons personal and productive. For young learners, lessons often include object lessons, activities, worksheets, and visual aids. Fun and visually stimulating curricula are used to teach sight-singing and theory, with the goal of improving pitch accuracy, harmony, and musical competence. Song selections often include a combination of pieces chosen by both the student and the instructor, allowing for an array of entertaining and academically engaging repertoire. Each spring students are encouraged (but not required) to participate in a formal vocal recital.
